@NunavutBirder I saw several in the wilds, when working on some documentary filming up in Arctic regions, many years back. I never really realized how large the hares are up there. They were awesome to watch π

I quickly looked up Arctic Hares; they seem to be really interesting creatures.
That piece of cardboard must have some special appeal (insulation?), Arctic Hare Number 1 clearlly has chosen to sit on it rather than anywhere else!

@CatherineBabault no. See them in town all the time. These are at my cabin and they spend time sitting under it regularly v
@NunavutBirder So if I ever go to Nunavut one day, chances are I could see them too. :) I'd love to photograph them and other wildlife there. And the landscape!

@NunavutBirder Thanks Clare. Wow, beautiful photos! It motivates me to look into a potential trip there one day: planning, time of year, cost, etc.
Another thing that I find interesting is the migratory birds that look different in the Arctic than when they winter here on Vancouver Island.
