@yoasif @hannah Provincial laws do not apply in the International Criminal Court. Attempting to do what this law purports would be an invasion, and a warcrime.

@yoasif @hannah Every time I see this, it is as a gotcha - “but we have a law that means we can break people out”. Your law does not apply.

It’s just ironic to think you can get out of warcrimes by doing more warcrimes.

We’re gonna need a bigger Hague.

@criffer @hannah It is less about the law applying to an outside government and more about the authorization to use military force to prevent the extradition or trial by a court that Americans are not a signatory to.

That could mean kidnapping, air strikes (just stuff we've seen in the last few weeks), invasion (maybe a week or two from now).

Just something for the Hague to consider before they decide to try. Denmark considered blowing up its airfields to prepare for a Greenland invasion.
