@mastodonmigration It’s an obscenity that law enforcement is using AI to hurt the innocent and then not apologize. They bankrupted her, and she lost everything because they couldn’t do a simple, basic investigation. What are we paying them for again?

With the huge powers, & widespread involvement in our lives, of public services, there needs to be much stronger checks & balances.

The enforced standard needs to be that every action by a bureaucracy has a human responsible for it. And criminal charges need to be in place for negligence, failure of duty of care, etc.

And if that standard isn't met then the head of that department / agency needs to be held liable. With criminal charges awaiting.
