What a really shitty way to treat children. I hope all the people responsible for this have something happen in their personal life that gives them pause to recognise the unnecessary pain they've inflicted on innocents. And I hope it eats away at them inside. And I hope they choose to use that pain to undo some of their harms.

Girl Guides Canada doing better:

• We actively create a culture of safety, belonging, and celebration; youth are embraced for who they are with respect, warmth, and understanding.
• Preferred names and pronouns are always used.
• Guidelines for the Inclusion of Transgender and Non-binary Members support safe, welcoming, and affirming environments for all.
