All of DOGE’s work could be undone as lawsuit against Musk proceeds
Musk’s X posts bragging about DOGE may trigger reversals of its biggest wins.

All their work, except their primary tasks: Kill hundreds of thousand of people in poor countries, give all government data about US citizens to dangerous third parties, and crush the personal finances of those working to have the US be a decent place to live.
@arstechnica
They stole data. Are they going to return that? 😡
@notyourfanboy @arstechnica Returning one copy is always possible but only of use if the original data was deleted along with all backups. "Returning" as in hard overwrite of all copies on DOGE servers or downstream recipients plus all backups of those fugghitabouit

Love it:
“Defendants appear to make the extraordinary argument that an individual who holds an important office and wields immense power is not subject to the Appointments Clause so long as the office was unlawfully created, and the power was unlawfully seized,”

Anyone else notice how much time Elon spends doing no work as his companies fall apart? I imagine if his shareholders mention his screen time in court, they win instantly with any judge or jury.
@Cassandra_Complex @arstechnica Musk was busy dismantling the federal agencies responsible for investigating him and his companies.
@qhstone @arstechnica
I thought he just took out his wallet to fix those issues.
@Cassandra_Complex @arstechnica Bribed Trump to get the position. In his mind it was the cheaper option.
@qhstone @arstechnica
I'm still not convinced he was actually doing anything most would consider "work" so much as finding someone else to do it for him while he trolled the internet.
@Cassandra_Complex @arstechnica He’s the CEO/President of, what, five companies? Of course he doesn’t do any work.

@qhstone @arstechnica
I wish my work just consisted of showing up to events and rubbing elbows while expecting people to kiss my ass.

Wait...no, that sounds like my worst nightmare. I hate socializing, especially at large parties with uptight social norms and rules.

@Cassandra_Complex @arstechnica He also spends his time getting chummy with Nazis on Xitter.
@qhstone @arstechnica
See, I can do the online thing easily enough but I can't clap like a seal for nazi propaganda. Then again, I also don't believe that there's some inherent genetic social hierarchy because I actually paid attention in genetics classes unlike most of these rich asshats.

@arstechnica

But we'll probably never find all the backdoors they inserted into all our base, which now belong to them...

@arstechnica Would be nice, but completely misses the point of DOGE. Elon doesn't give a 💩 about government efficiency. He wanted the data. His hacker boys exfiltrated all government data on day 1, so he could feed it to his racist AI and rent it back to the feds for $billions.
@jef @arstechnica He also gutted all the agencies that could have regulated his businesses.
@arstechnica lol he didn’t see that coming

@arstechnica Not ALL of it.

They'll still keep the data that they harvested.
