@KarenDorman Not a bad idea. Alternatively if there a spot near a heating duct that can maybe be exploited?
Set a cat loose and see where they prefer sleeping, that'll be your warm spots. 🤣

I'm hoping to direct sow some monks cress soon though.

I looked up Monks Cress, which I hadn't heard of before and see it's what we call nasturtium. Nice to learn a new name - thx!
I picked up some of that this year too, so will start some of that in early May maybe, and sow some directly too.
