Uhoh ... I'm in danger
Even the food is on point
I apologise for your timeline
πŸ₯΅
I'm not really functioning πŸ˜‚ the Kyoto Railway Museum is overwhelmingly good.
Can we have a date in the Kyoto Railway Museum πŸ₯Ή?
It's hot in here, do you feel it too?
Signalling folks, we got you covered
This place, the Kyoto Railway Museum, has everything... Ticket barriers from the 1920s? We've got you. Explanations of how the wheels stay in the track, sure. Ticket office simulators, ok. It's a train nerd wet dream come true.
Model trains with the correct number of cars? Sure
Oh of course there are working models too... Covering multiple rooms
And signalling, more signalling πŸ₯΅
I'm just going to hang out here for awhile, I've destroyed your timelines enough
Am just walking around grinning

My tiny travel light haul is a couple of magnets for my fridge, a sticker for my next work laptop, and some chopsticks in the shape of trains for @olivvybee
@dee omg they’re amazing πŸš…
@dee is it weird that i want to go to Japan just for the railway museum now
@ciara not at all! That's a very good reason to visit. Kyoto is nice ❀️
@dee this reminds me a lot of chuggington which i am more than familiar with because reasons.
@dee We enjoyed it.
We just don't want to admit it publicly.😁

@dee one of my favorite museums in France is a train museum.

Suck it Louvre.

Japanese train museum is now in my bucket list

@dee thicc driveshaft πŸ₯΅
@dee
"It's getting hot in here,
let's look at all those choos."

For those who liked this, I'm taking that as a yes. I'll have my people contact your people about scheduling a date.

Unnecessary. πŸ—Ύβ›©οΈπŸš…πŸ±πŸΆ

@dee for your alt text: i think the second photo is of a shinkansen 0 series

we have one in the united kingdom at the national railway museum

@dee also "japanese railway museum" is now even more on my bucket list of places to visit.

@CauseOfBSOD it is a 0 series, a Kuha and a C62.

Later in my thread is a map with all the classifications, these three are easiest to identify along with the three inside given the shinkansen and line up make it easy to identify the others.

I really struggle with alt text when the internet is bad and merely uploading a pic takes a minute or two and I've got to use the phone keyboard to type after that, and then lose a post or two and repeat myself as the internet was crappy. I did a bad job on these ones

@dee typing on a phone is always annoying at the best of times

having to deal with those kinds of upload rates makes it worse

also while the alt text on those is by no means good it at least is alt text, which is more than some people manage

@dee whenever i type on a phone i inevitably make at least one typo
@dee kicking myself for not going when I was in Kyoto in 2019.
@dee Very jealous. When my children are older we will try to go. They love the National Railway Museum in York.
@twp it will be worth the visit ❀️
@dee ι‰„ι“εšη‰©ι€¨ is fancy too
