Here’s a very alarming article about the recent uptick in AI bots posing as real users on #reddit. Right around the time Reddit partnered with #openai steps were taken to make detecting bot accounts more difficult (posts history can now be hidden + the report mechanisms were changed). It seems that allowing AI bots to pose as people might be part of the advertising agreement between the two companies.
