We're about a month away from the start of the puffin season in Iceland. Hopefully most of them survived the rough seas during the winter. I know some didn't. 😢

@firda I have a friend in Vigo, Spain, who this winter has found dead puffins on the beach every day; one day she picked up 16 while walking her dog 🥺

@shichimi I read that it's been happening all over Europe. Not much food is easily available when the sea is rough and it takes a lot more energy for them to catch. Energy that they don't have because of the food scarcity. ☹️
