Morning Gold

Early October, 07:30.
A layer of heavy cloud was hanging above us. Briefly, sunrise underlit the raincloud and touched the misty mountain flanks with golden fingers.

A moment later, the sun slipped behind the blanket of dark cloud overhead.

Breiðdalsvík in eastern Iceland. The mountain is Snæhvammstindur¹ and at the tip on the right is the appropriately named Mosfell.
