Everything: Research, grammar, spelling, transitions, characterization, dialogue, plot, and how interesting it is. I make mistakes, but I am not sloppy.
Cara Bruar@NaraMoore what worries me the most is accidentally trespassing into popular culture that I have never heard of or don't understand. In one story I used a house adress that was 88. After publishing it I discovered people use 8 for letter H or Hitler. I published a revised version to get rid of it. But what else don't I know?
That is a worry. I don't think I have made an error on that level, but it could happen.
It's what you don't know to ask that bites you in the ass.
@NaraMoore exactly. And even if something was innocuous at the time of publication events can render it not ok. Scary stuff.
