OK what was everyone's first Star Trek movie at the cinema (on opening release)?

Mine was Final Frontier, although my mum swears she took me to The Voyage Home (but I have no recollection)

Hell yeah

@AndorianSoup

1. Star Trek-Film, den ich als erstes (auf Video) gesehen habe: Star Trek II
2. Star Trek-Film, den ich am hΓ€ufigsten gesehen habe (Kino und Video): ST VI

@AndorianSoup ST:TMP. I was so excited.
@AndorianSoup Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. I distinctly remember the ending scene getting a standing ovation from the movie audience.

@AndorianSoup @HippieScubaSteve

I saw that in college when it came out, on the Peninsula (Bay Area). In an early scene, I think Uhura explains that the Klingons (? been a while) have made their way to San Francisco. Cut to Kirk: "The city!" Cheering & applause in the cinema.

@AndorianSoup I ditched high school to stand in line for the premiere of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Dec 7, 1979
@AndorianSoup The Motion Picture (1979), it's still my favorite.
@AndorianSoup TMP in 1979 - it was the first movie I ever went to with my Dad, who introduced me to #startrek when TOS aired as reruns on our local TV station.
@AndorianSoup I saw The Motion Picture in the cinema with some friends whose mom took us. I'd already been watching reruns on TV (and continued to do so).
@AndorianSoup I think it was Generations.
@AndorianSoup Star Trek The Motion Picture (1979)

@AndorianSoup

Mine was Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

Still a favourite

@AndorianSoup probably First Contact, but I only clearly remember going for Insurrection.
