In a post to Truth Social, Trump said the ICE agents would “do Security like no one has ever seen before, including the immediate arrest of all Illegal Immigrants who have come into our Country, with heavy emphasis on those from Somalia.”

Border czar Tom Homan said ICE agents will be at airports to help TSA agents, but he does not expect they will do specialized tasks, such as X-ray screening.

Due to ICE staff shortages, a number of the agents sent to Minneapolis were allegedly just hastily-rebadged marshals, TSA screeners, and anyone else in the DHS agencies who volunteered.

Using TSA to fill in ICE ranks, then using ICE to fill in TSA ranks. They just don't have enough brownshirts to do all the authoritarianism they want to do.

I wonder if they know? Like, I wonder if Trump's inner circle understand that staffing is an issue, or are they the sort who train themselves not to even think thoughts that the boss might dislike?

One should secretly cheer for this bone-headed move, using #ICE agents to do #TSA work.

First, it will take ICE agents off the streets of our cities.

Second, it would allow millions of travelling Americans to observe ICE up close and decide if they still like them.
