If the ordinary person tries to get a foreign bank account they are going to get investigated.
Billionaires can afford lawyers and foreign corporations and can run most of their life pre-tax.
They also have legal ways to buy political influence.

@DemocracyMattersALot It's criminal how bad both major candidates in the Democratic primary for her seat are. Maine could do so much better but they seem to like having Susan Collins repeatedly eat their faces after promising she won't. She may finally lose this time, but they won't have a good Democratic senator and they so easily could have.
