@kevinrns if you think windfarms is going to change anything. ...... Look into what it takes to set up a complete wondfsrm, the performance and longevity. Not to mention the 250L plus of petroleum lubricant onboard. Oh and what's the recycling like for turbine blades?

Uruguay saved its economy, buried under expensive dirty oil, now its 99% new energy and innovating the hell out of the econony. Pakistan has insulated its economy from jumps in oil price with subsidised solar installs, massive ubiquitous installs.
It's physics. Energy is great, REALLY CHEAP energy is better, not filthy better yet.

@kevinrns sounds great on paper. I only speak of this as I work in the industry. And wind. Just does cut it for supply. The danger to wildlife is huge. The mark on the landscape even worse.
And yes we mills catch on fire and burn!!!
What burns more co2 thrn electrc generation? So let's price electricity to a level that most can't afford and watch generation be 0 on a calm day. ??!! That will help people greatly. How? I am trying to point out that while promoting consumption of new iphones every year, planned obsolescence and many other factors have to come inline for a healthy prosperous chance at achieving your goal. Dotting the landscape with windmills will not carry the impact your hoping.
