If they are black, fight back.
If they are brown, lie down.
If they are white, say good night.

Make a lot of noise with black bears and they should hopefully leave you alone.

If you startle a grizzly bear, they have a tendency just to take a swipe at you and they can kill you by accident.

Polar bears consider humans to be food. They also have an amazing sense of smell, so they know you were there for kilometres and were likely tracking you. I'm so sorry.
