Ok yeah great the thing that could easily be weaponized further isn't so bad yet when viewed in isolation. I'm so glad the last 20 times people were concerned about similar slippery slopes nothing bad at all happened in the long term!

As a glenda user I feel the same, and maybe a future #guix install once they replace that nonfree-by-default malware called Linux with the actual GNU kernel, Hurd (and FDo crap vendored by #IBM) and being developing a forked xdg-crap alternative to #GNOME/#KDE and the like. Here a jitted Guile+some UI based desktop -GTK4 is doomed- as the original Gnome did with Sawfish (another Lisp based VM) would be great for the user freedom.

As a 9front users I have no issues with either an awk+rc approach (or s9 scheme) + 9p based tools,
Im used to Scheme after all, I can easily pipe stuff
written in s9 into aux/* or gview(1). Having to use some non 9front OS for $GOVERMENT pages is a chore but at least I can control the pests I get in my NUC.

@moralrecordings @eniko Being free software illegal in California would collapse the whole region and good chunk of the US economy. Cant wait to both Meta and the lobbies being sued into the oblivion and the NSA front get distmantled and trialed as both being traitors to the US citizens and money launderers thru the CSA. If that happened the fine would be so huge that IG, WA and FB would stop existing overnight.

First I remind you call that Meta stole billions of books via Bittorrent to train AIs. A multifront trial from media companies and cloud providers would make META shit bricks and Elon Musk delete stuff for Grok like crazy.

The slop generation would grind to a halt and most LLM rewrites will be deemed either under PD or plain derivatives of the previous work thus enforcing the GPL to *tons* of illegal MIT rewrites. Ditto with some AGPL rewrited projects.
