Ok yeah great the thing that could easily be weaponized further isn't so bad yet when viewed in isolation. I'm so glad the last 20 times people were concerned about similar slippery slopes nothing bad at all happened in the long term!
As a glenda user I feel the same, and maybe a future #guix install once they replace that nonfree-by-default malware called Linux with the actual GNU kernel, Hurd (and FDo crap vendored by #IBM) and being developing a forked xdg-crap alternative to #GNOME/#KDE and the like. Here a jitted Guile+some UI based desktop -GTK4 is doomed- as the original Gnome did with Sawfish (another Lisp based VM) would be great for the user freedom.

As a 9front users I have no issues with either an awk+rc approach (or s9 scheme) + 9p based tools,
Im used to Scheme after all, I can easily pipe stuff
written in s9 into aux/* or gview(1). Having to use some non 9front OS for $GOVERMENT pages is a chore but at least I can control the pests I get in my NUC.
