A couple of years ago I designed a pack rack adapter for my bike. It bolts to the pack rack from underneath with some M6 bolts. Unfortunately the space between the underside of the pack rack and the mudguard and pack rack struts is quite limited -- really awkward to get a spanner in and turn. I hadn't worried about that awkwardness, since I very rarely need to remove it.

For the last couple of weeks I'd been procrastinating on the need to adjust the adapter position, because of the awkwardness. Then 5 minutes of quick and dirty part design in FreeCAD followed by 13 minutes of 3D printing, and the adjustment job was easy. 5 grams of plastic. (And that little spanner takes up almost no space in my saddle bags.)
