For the 50 states and Puerto Rico, the U.S. Drought Monitor shows 45.81% in moderate drought or worse, compared to 45.18% last week.

Improvements occurred in parts of the Northeast and Midwest, as well as Hawaii. Degradations occurred in parts of the High Plains, with a small area of improvement in Colorado. Mixed conditions occurred in parts of the Southeast, South and West.
