Transcripts will be free for everyone.

I'll probably build more advanced features on top of them that may be Premium-only, but what you see in this beta will always be free for all Overcast customers.

Overcast doesn't charge for accessibility or table-stakes features, and once you use transcripts, you'll quickly realize that they're obviously both.

@spitfire @marcoarment I see it on my 12 Mini which to my knowledge has no support for AI models at all so I’m just curious how it’s being done.

@marcoarment damn! this is really good! you got the audio/text syncing *perfect*

i'm not dunking on the transcription, but one of the more humorous errors i was was "Positive America" instead of "Pod Save America "

@marcoarment Wish I could turn them off on Apple Podcasts. It’s useful occasionally, but man, so in your face. At best a secondary concern rather than table stakes.

Like this is an audio medium… (for me, ymmv)
