Fun fact! More time has now elapsed between the latest Jurassic Park and the first movie, than between the first movie and the actual fucking dinosaur times. ๐Ÿ‘
Sorry for using technical historical language

@TheBreadmonkey Whenever I see 'Jurassic Park' I can only hear Mr Swallow singing his original lyrics to the theme tune.

IT'S JURASSIC PARK
IT'S A MASSIVE PARK
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?

@eleanorrees @TheBreadmonkey I heard the Weird Al version of MacArthur Park as Jurassic Park before I heard the original. Which turned out to be about soggy cake and lost recipes and made significantly less narrative sense than Weird Alโ€™s version.
@eleanorrees @TheBreadmonkey it was an earworm where I used to work, but we made the words ๐ŸŽต it's a dinosaur ๐ŸŽต

@alicemcalicepants @eleanorrees

Please make that fit so my brain doesn't malfunction. It's repeating.... It's a din-o-saur it's a massive saur what could possi-bly go wrooong.

@TheBreadmonkey Can verify. Birbs are officially dinosaurs now, because of woke, so no time passed between dinosaur times and classic era Jurassic Park.
@TheBreadmonkey Basically you're saying I'm an old crone.
@TheBreadmonkey
Wait, there's a movie where they fuck the dinosaurs?

Yeah, it was called "Melania". It was the best movie because it was only in theaters for a week.

@TheBreadmonkey

This always kinda disappoints me:

Of course the original is first and foremost entertainment, but they _did_ try to get the dinosaur science mostly right. Hired actual big-name experts.

But, for the sequels, they decided to keep continuity from the first movie rather than adjust / update based on new science.

@TheBreadmonkey reading this nearly made me miss my tube stop.
