@gsuberland @GossiTheDog I grew up watching reruns of Star Trek TOS. I occasionally caught episodes of The Animated Series. They felt like two completely different shows to me, despite the shared characters and cast.
I wonder if Firefly will end up being the same vibe fifty years into the future.
@GossiTheDog Ain't a power in the 'verse
😁
Hopefully they invest properly in the animation part. Would be a shame if it looked cheap like so many modern animated shows.
I actually pondered if there wouldn't be a "Firefly Next Generation" at some point...
Mixed feelings:
1. Yay! New Firefly!
2. Hrm. Animated + no Joss Whedon. In the immortal words of a friend of mine: We Shall See What We shall see.
It •could• be good...?
Edit: Please note, I don't see how Whedon could be included, given his...history.
You can't stop the signal.
I'm hoping it's "Firefly: Lower Decks".
They can call it “Firefly Bebop”
@GossiTheDog I was excited to see the movie. The house lights darkened, the crowd mumurred... Then a bunch of commercials.. then trailers. When the 5th preview started, I yelled "Serenity Now!"
A couple people got the reference and laughed. Several others told me to shush.
Not a huge fan of animation but will definitely view this once it comes out, one way or another.
@GossiTheDog well.
Been working on an animated indie show concept for years.
I finally get character models. Thumbnails. Art. References. Story. I'm grasping how you'd even start it...
And after looking at firefly, it's just firefly, but gayer and more unhinged.
The constant low grade fear someone else will do it better? Blegh...
I hope the show is good tho
Friend I just sat on the sideline rolling my eyes until you came along and said gayer and more unhinged Firefly.
I am WAY more excited about your project than some stale nostalgia bait
@GossiTheDog
?REDO FROM START or do we get Series 2 at last?
Gods, there's a sufficiently retro reference.
