#LongCovidAwarenessDay

Today, we remember the disappeared that are still here: millions of people suffering from #LongCovid worldwide.

My own condition has improved since last year, even though symptoms returned this winter, but only mildly. Nothing I couldn't control with a dose of antihistamines, and the right kind of pacing.

Life goes on. But I could do without the recurring post-exertional malaise (#PEM), tremors, or the new allergies that came with this...

Try not to get this. It is still well worth protecting yourself from infection. Believe me.

What I wrote last year, when I had recovered enough to actually write something like this, still applies:

Living with Fatigue and a Society That Does Not Care

Today is my birthday. Obviously, it marks a date that is easy to remember for me. And I remember exactly how I felt on this day last year, on Mar 17, 2024.

@yoginho thanks for sharing, Yogi, and so sorry this has happened to you. I was aware you had longcovid, but had missed this very informative post and the updates. What a double nightmare. Even scarier that “you’re one the lucky ones”! I hope things have continued to improve to you since then. Take care!

Same, still don't really know what caused it. But it aligned with having been to this dangerous place called "outside" and buying some groceries 2-3 days earlier.

Didn't try antihistamines so far though. However this time it didn't last that long and was over after a few months.
