These dorper ewes & their lambs strayed across my small block & several others since the start of February.
I finally got them in my yards, tracked the owner via the eartag with help from the local govt agency (great agency staff) & now the owner won't answer calls from the agency staff.
Big health risk to my sheep - lice, worms, disease - & to the straying sheep if they couldn't find water
Some people should never own #sheep.

The owner of these straying sheep should be ashamed. I've held them in my yards for 3 days now, waiting for the owner to contact me & collect the sheep.
Nothing.
I bought some hay & fed them some sheep pellets - can't stand to see animals suffer because of their uncaring owners.
One of the ewes has a very large hernia or tumour.

5 days in my yards after 6 weeks straying across several small properties & the owner of the dorpers has not contacted me at all.
These people don't deserve sheep.
Council, RSPCA & Rural Crime Squad next.

Finally a text today:

✅You have our escaped sheep, thankyou so much for picking them up and taking care of them we cannot thank you enough.

✅Would you like us to pick them up or...

😡🤬 are you happy to drop them off?

Needless to say, I made them pick them up.

@Goimbla Good grief.... and what brought that on?!
@sister_ratched Guilt? A call from the Council Ranger & Government Agency? No idea really.
@Goimbla Good result anyway.
@sister_ratched Yes - stray sheep are home & my sheep are safe.
@Goimbla
What’s that they say about 9 tenths of the law 😁.
Actually - I hope the owner is ok!
@feather1952 That's a kind thought.
He was fine on the phone to agency staff last week when his sheep had been straying for 5 weeks.
He's not answering his phone now they're found.
@Goimbla
Ok. That sounds like he just doesn’t care then.
