why would I ever want to, Microsoft
@whitequark It gets you better rolls for the teams lootboxes
@whitequark Pretty sure that's one of the seals holding back the Apocalypse

@whitequark Is Teams Premium the one that's just Slack and a Zoom license? If so take my (companies') money!

@whitequark you click them in order:

1) settings: can’t figure out what to change
2) to try and solve 1)
3) to say what you thought of 2)

The perfect UI: they know how bad they are and give you a venting plan.

@whitequark Is that the version that doesn't suck? Or does it suck but in a fancier way?
@c_dan4th @whitequark it sucks in fancier ways. there are some benefits for large presentations (>500 attendees) as well as support for realtime translators (human, not ML) which is actually quite nice when it works, which is about 50% of the time
@astraleureka @whitequark …when it works seems to be the universal when it comes to Teams.
@whitequark "I want less Teams, not more"

@mcc
@whitequark

You get the behavior someone else rewarded.

Who paid for MSTeams?

@mcc @whitequark paying for Teams Premium just bypasses the corpware on your laptop at the os level to uninstall Teams

@whitequark what if premium tiers started to offer the ability to disable ai

shudders

@whitequark
Maybe teams just sucks because you're not on the deluxe version
@whitequark If the premium version moves the "Leave Meeting" button away from the "Stop Sharing" button, I might pay for it. I should *not* have to pay for non-horrible UX, but it's already a hostage situation so...
@whitequark Feels like WinRar license. I’m afraid we will never know someone who has one…
@whitequark it's locked in that dungeon for A REASON!!

@whitequark "unlock Teams exit"

Everybody: Shut up and take my money!

@whitequark with premium Teams, instead of having all your devices ring anyway after you pick up a call, nearby bystanders' phones will also start ringing with no way to stop it that doesn't interrupt your call (on the device[s] that did pick it up.)
