Well, that sort of behaviour won't encourage a faster shift toEVs.
@Fragarach @Miro_Collas @Su_G Can I have a car with no app please?
I researched cars in 2025 and gave up because they all had Internet connections that I had no control over.
Where can I get a non-connected new car?
@mike805 @Fragarach @Miro_Collas @Su_G
Non-connected anything.
Have complained about this before, but I don't actually need my dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven or fridge to be connected to the net.
No matter how manufacturers try and pitch it, that's not to our advantage, it's to theirs so they can brick it to sell us a new one.
@Fragarach @DaiseeC @Miro_Collas @Su_G Reboot the car. Reboot the owner.
This is the same failure mode as the person who has zero cash in their wallet, or even a debit card, and has an emergency when their phone payment doesn't work.
High tech systems should have low tech backups. I would feel butt naked out without a car key and some cash. I don't use the cash much but am far more comfortable knowing it's there. (The key I use.) How does anyone do that?
