Bob just knocked on the front door.

He was let out the back last night, which means he travelled around the houses (literally), or over the fence to achieve this.

Not bad for a cat of 15 years old. He seemed well pleased with himself when we opened the front door to him.

We'd been wondering why he hadn't got us up for breakfast at 7!

How do you refuel your creativity?

Seeing things I haven't seen before, doing things I've haven't done before.

Walk on a beach I've not previously visited. Look at art works I hadn't previously seen. Listen to new music. Try new craft. Go to plays, ballets, musicals, concerts. Explore architecture. Observe birds or insects I haven't previously witnessed.

Travel. Watch. Learn.

Meditate.

Also, if I can afford it that year, E'burgh Fringe. 👍👍

Pressing submit.
There's *always* some error I've made in the requirements: font, font size; not stripping my name & details out of the document for a competition, not putting them in for a standard sub; sending it off from the wrong email address...

Basically, I need an editor and a PA. ☺️

MC POV: What is something most people desire that you feel is more trouble than it’s worth?

MC1: Power and influence. Give me enough to eat and drink, and a quiet country house away from prying eyes, any day.

MC2: A country life. What is the point in growing crops and tending sheep if they keep being burnt and stolen in raids? You need power to stop the enemy from ruining the lives of everyone in your village.

What are the next steps for your current project?

-Big novel: Print out all 402 pages of rough draft to make it easier to work out the structure (non-linear, interweaving narratives across two protagonists).
-SF short story: Find appropriate market and submit.
-Near future short story: Colour between the lines
-First full stage play: Write bridging scenes
-Romance: More words.
-Stage musical: Stop daydreaming and just write something. Anything!
