@futurebird Open standards have been the default for the longest time. All those RFCs to describe various protocols and mechanism during the development of the internet were about ensuring it works on any machine, with any system.
And then the internet got popular and standards were replaced by platforms.
The exact opposite of ensuring interoperability is what we've seen for 20 or so years now! A crime against the very internet itself!
