Yesterday in #SantaFe #NewMexico Amy Coney Barrett held an event to promote her book. Sponsored by St. John’s College and University of New Mexico Law School, Barrett spoke at the Lensic Theater. There were hundreds of protesters. 1/ #LawFedi
I served as a neutral legal observer during the protests. I documented law enforcement and officials’ interactions with protesters. #SantaFe #NewMexico #LawFedi 2/
My photos from the event include many of #NewMexico state police vehicles’ location and license plates and of state police themselves. Ditto for Santa Fe City Police. 3/
Other photographers concentrated on the protestors. Here are some of their images. 4/

“Signs of Fascism” protest outside the Lensic, where Amy Coney Barrett was promoting her book. 6/
Protest took different forms. The group Dare To Struggle was there, loud and profane. A different approach than the singers from Indivisible Santa and the Signs of Fascism group. 7/
Democracy and free speech, in all its glorious messiness, on the streets of Santa Fe. 8/8

@heidilifeldman

One important thing is to make the fascism and tRump enablers feel uncomfortable.

@donray @heidilifeldman One reason I've carried a sign saying "ICE is a Gestapo, CECOT is a Concentration Camp" for over 6 months to local #Indivisible street rallies (which some fellow protesters thought extreme) was so little boys and girls driving by would ask their parents "What is a Gestapo mommy ?".
That's almost been my entire purpose and goal.
But to make the parents uncomfortable if they can't explain why a Gestapo is bad, and what it is.

I'm surprised Indivisible didn't have you removed and banned!

The Democrats can't wait to have ICE and their concentration camps at their own disposal. I'm betting they will be even more brutal to the left than Trump is.

@Quasit @jab01701mid @heidilifeldman

I don't think that that's necessarily true. On the other hand, unless the Dems can turn the page from Biden, Pelosi, and the Clintons (to name a few), it will be hard to see the party as really anti-fascist.
