We're researching electric #cargoBikes for nursery and grocery trips. Can you help?

The bike should:
• manage semi-hilly area near #Sheffield.
• be good for novice riders, ideally with easy adjustments between riders.
• be compatible with a toddler and a medium-sized grocery shop.
• store small or outside well (no garage).
• be compatible with UK purchasing, weather, and infrastructure.

We're currently considering the Tern HSD P5i, but very happy to hear any recommendations or advice. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒🚲🔌

@chicgeek I’m a bigger fan of front bucket style bikes, like the Bullit. They’re a lot more practical for moving shopping around in, panniers struggle with bulkier items (packs of loo roll, etc) They’re a lot harder to store, and manoeuvre when not riding however.
Friends have just bought a Tern with similar requirements and seem to like it.

Mine is front loading, with a pannier rack for other things if I’m moving the dog as well.

@tom @chicgeek i second the front bucket style. We got the Riese & Müller Load4 75 this summer and love it. Use it daily to take our 6 and 3 year old to school snd kindergarten. About 15 km round trip 2 times a day. My partner is (was) a less experienced rider and was a little hesitant but she adapted to it in days. She absolutely loves it. We’re in Aarhus, Denmark so hills and weather should be somewhat similar to yours.

@turegjorup @tom Thanks both.

We definitely don't have space to store this, however. Unless you can recommend something we can install outdoors?

@chicgeek @tom we don’t have indoor space either. Ours sits in a locked courtyard with a cover on at night. Not this brand but something similar https://www.cykelgarage.dk/products/bikeparka-cargo-cykelcover-sort.
