@ku2y Hi!
I've been playing with a CubeSatSim that the RSGB have lent me. It's been rather a lot of fun so far.
Do you know of anything that can decode the BSPK telemetry that isn't FoxTelem? I'd ideally like to hook it up to MQTT so I can build a visualiser for it.

Also I've wired up the INT line of the MPU6050 to GP6/Pin 9 of the Pico and modified the firmware to use the DSM mode to get absolute orientation - not sure if that's of use to anyone else, but thought I'd mention it!
Thanks!

This actually worked, although only for about 20 seconds before it stops, with no further output.
Getting closer.

One day, I will remember that my keyboard has an ESP in it and not flash the keyboard with my code.

Today is not that day (again).

#OnTheBench this evening: Hooking up a Pi Pico so I can experiment with an MPU-6050 sensor fusion mode to hopefully avoid having to buy one that is 3 times the cost.
@tom This actually seems to work, and now I have telemetry data in a format I can use.
Now to learn some 3d programming with JavaScript…

#OnTheBench this evening: Writing more regex than the sum total of my life previous in order to parse a semi cursed output from a satellite simulator.

Unfortunately, a null terminator in the middle of a lat/lon pair combined with a fixed 6 digit format for the lon element has meant that python has decided it's actually a \x01 escape char.

The RSGB lent me a CubeSat simulator.
First job was to take it apart and reflash it so I’ve now got root on a (simulated) satellite.
Tomorrow’s job is to work out how to decode its telemetry

Before the Bambu AMS became popular, I used to be able to buy 3kg spools of filament for roughly the same price as 3x1kg.

Now they’re basically unobtainable because they don’t fit in the AMS.
Boo.

I hate changing spools.

Had to make a sunshade over the hammock.
But I get WiFi here and it’s now comfy.

TIL that my dog is scared of hammocks.

Not being in them, just the general concept of hammocks.
