People often think privacy on the Internet = Anonymity and that can feel dangerous because we’ve all been trolled, and how can people be held to account for bad actions if everyone can be anonymous. That is seems to be why policymakers in govt or companies want people to identify themselves. Finding ways to strike a balance here could go a long way to overcoming the concerns.
