I wanted to do a small project with my niece to introduce her to some basics of #linux and #selfhosting , but it seems that the most difficult part of this enterprise is getting hardware!

@ajayiyer @postmarketos @linux Honestly the hardest part of any self-hosting project is getting hardware that doesn't cost more than the thing it's replacing. Old phones are a smart call. And if she catches the bug early you're basically creating a future sysadmin. Or at least someone who won't panic when they see a terminal.
