I'm taking the day off work because I feel terrible with flu. I'm going to watch TV all day. What should I watch? Stargate SG1 is kn Netflix now so that's an option. I think I can buy or rent battlestar Galactica or Babylon 5....
I've actually decided I want to watch action movies. So I'm starting with the Running Man remake.
I am taking recommendations for big silly switch-off-brain action movies. What have you got for me?

@Scmbradley

The Raid and The Raid 2 for me. Also the Karl Urban Judge Dredd.

@TheBreadmonkey @Scmbradley Ben the urban Dredd is the only good Dredd. As an old 2000ad fan , when I see the stallone Dredd I immediately turn it off.
@wendythedruid @TheBreadmonkey my hot take is that Stallone has been in precisely one good movie and that movie is demolition man. And it's good primarily because of Wesley snipes and Sandra bullock.
@Scmbradley @TheBreadmonkey that is arguably my favorite Stallone scifi film , and I watch it fairly regularly , specially when Iโ€™m down or need background noise: we would get along really well o think Scm
@Scmbradley @wendythedruid @TheBreadmonkey omg that's the one I liked
@kinsale42 @Scmbradley @TheBreadmonkey well for me itโ€™s the stuff like Joe Dredd taking his helmet off , Stallone did , urban did not. That happened in the 2000ad comics , Dredds helmet came off all of three times and this was a constant , also urban held Dreddโ€™s pure objectivity better IMHO
@wendythedruid @kinsale42 @Scmbradley @TheBreadmonkey I wish we could have got more Dredd, maybe a series. Lot of material out there to adapt. Not all of it great, I'd hope they'd skip Walter, and I don't think the Dark Judges would have worked with the realistic slant they put on it but there are one shots like America that would have been great. Maybe the Apocalypse War as an ongoing arc.

@woe2you @kinsale42 @Scmbradley @TheBreadmonkey

It has been my impression that Urban loved that role and has actively been trying to find a way to get back to it, so he could do it again.

I would support this.

@Scmbradley @wendythedruid @TheBreadmonkey I think that's not giving enough credit to Nigel Hawthorne.
