The first being the conversation mentioned in the video with a friend, She does not consider herself a leftist (but is in any many respects nonetheless) and at a party someone announced to everyone "it's nice to be among leftists", assuming everyone there was left because they got along with them. Another being when I talked to a friend of a friend and found out was a landlord and he was convinced he was "helping" his tenants. [1/2]

@abbenm ​When I tried to point out that he wasn't helping people find housing, he was contributing to the problem, ​he took it as a personal attack, as if I said "you're a bad person." I think he literally responded to me at one point, "but I'm a good person" or something along those lines. It was the first time I realized for some people, being left just means being a good person.
