Time for yet another #sidequest... I need help.. I have the desire to gut some old laptops to put #raspberrypi's in them... I know you can get driver boards for laptop monitors to give hdmi or other video inputs.. just unsure exactly what I need to get... One of them is a 17" 1440 x 900 resolution... The connector is 30 pin and I think 0.5mm pitch? It's half a mil between the pins though the pins are 1mm centre to centre... And the other is a netbook 10" screen 1024 x 600 with 2 x 15 pins
Bah... Had to continue in a 2nd post! If any #retrotech #retro #electronics peeps spot this can anyone tell me the name of the connectors to find the correct boards? Or if I can get away with making some kind of adaptor to use with something else? #whydoidothistomyself #gluttonforpunishment #onedayimayfinishsomething
@PixRetro I suspect that if you emailed that picture to Samtec application engineering (https://www.samtec.com/) they could tell you exactly what connector it was and send you a free sample if you wanted one to test against the one you have.
