AO SmithOur current rooster is very big and so pretty. But also very mean. He does watch out for the hens, though, which is in his favor but he is definitely the meanest roo we've had here.

Oh, yes, he'll start crowing in the dark in the coop! I don't know how the hens stand it, haha. Luckily the coop is just far away enough from the house for the noise to only be a mild nuisance.
Back when the chickens were free range, we had a roo who would come to the house to crow under our windows 😅
