UPDATE: It seems that the video is made by AI. I contacted the channel owner but no reply. So this is a made up story.

A huge shift in tech: Now Lenovo sells PCs and laptops with pre-installed Linux and provide full support.

This makes me as Ubuntu user very happy.

Buy a Lenovo Linux PC/laptop and enjoy a computer that belongs to you and doesn't spy on you like Windows 11.

Bill Gates FURIOUS As Lenovo DITCHES Windows For Linux

YouTube

@sslaia You're saying this isn't real - and yes, the video itself is AI slop click-bait. But I boosted this originally because I verified it.

Lenovo didn't dump Windows, but they do offer Linux builds - your choice of Ubuntu or Fedora.

Plus, independently, I've had extremely positive experiences with Lenovo laptops and Debian. Just works, no messing with drivers etc. Much better than Dells I've fought with in the past.

@zazzoo It's true that Lenovo PCs are Linux friendly. I'm using one myself. The same story with Dell. My Inspiron 5480 has been running Ubuntu for many years without issues.

However that video is wrong because Lenovo has not announced that all its PCs are now pre-installed with Linux and Windows is only available by request and additional price. At least I haven't found any Lenovo official statement about this.
