It was only two days to the wedding.
Polly had been up early for a change, without even a pause for a cuddle and fumble. Just a kiss and she was away.
Once dressed, she set about checking through all the clothes she was planning to take, and seeing what needed a needle taking to it. The pile was not insignificant.
Leaving Veronica with nothing to do.
She lay in bed not wanting to interrupt Polly, but the prospect of dressing herself again did not appeal. Even if she did need more practice. Instead, she dozed for another hour and wished she had a book to read.
Later, Polly stopped sewing, helped Veronica dress, and they went down to breakfast. After which Polly excused herself and went back to the bedroom to carry on with the sewing.

@adaddinsane love some of the subtle phrasing here like: "the pile was not insignificant" and "the prospect of dressing herself did not appeal" both rather simple yet powerful inner dialogue imo 🙌
