@khleedril @SophiaFree nah that’s not cool. Many *many* visually impaired people read social media using tools that translate the text into sound or tactile language. The issue with hashtags is how those tools interpret them. For example if we use CamelCase, where each word is capitalized, then the tool can correctly interpret it as separate words. Another issue is using too many hashtags; a sighted person can see a wall of hashtags and decide to skip past it, while someone using a screen reader will hear minutes of “hashtag gobbledegook, hashtag lovedogs, hashtag creaturesofthenight, hashtag etc etc.”
