Morning Mastodonians!

#Today is the first normal day of work in almost 2 weeks. My daughter, the teacher, had last week off, and everyone else missed two days of work this week due to the #blizzard. And yesterday, the other daughter went to her school to give a talk. So today, they are both off to work as normal. My wife normally goes into the office on Thursdays, but she is working from home. She is taking an online French class at lunch, so she wants to do it from home.

We had a good session of Knizia's My City last night. We have done 17 of the 26 chapters. I wish we could play it more regularly so that I could remember my strategies! It is a polynomial game where you place buildings to get the best score. It is one of the few competitive legacy games. I am also enjoying Architects of the West Kingdom on BGA. I think I’m going to pull the trigger today for all three of the West Kingdom games on their website, as they are 50% off. #boardgames
Politics here in the US is gut-wrenching. I still can’t believe how quickly the USA men’s hockey team went from winners to losers, but then again, the Orange Scumbag can turn things into shit in a hurry. He’s like a reverse Midas, where everything he touches turns to shit. Even the New York Post calls it the biggest crime syndicate in history. They have no shame because they have no accountability. I have already lost hope of seeing any of them in an orange jumpsuit anytime soon. #uspol
I had a pretty good day in the #SaltMine yesterday. It was rather short, so maybe that’s why I enjoyed it. But I got a lot done in a short period, including making real progress on my test suite. I am hoping to have enough pulled together to give another demo tomorrow, showing how we can prove a ground truth for whatever that means, but I need to get my other task review to see how that code looks, too.

Be safe. Wash your hands. Watch your distance. Wear your N95 mask. Vaccinate! Boost!

@jdarnold Ever. I have lost hope of seeing any of them in an orange jumpsuit ever.
