I scanned your comments (so far) in a previous poll for Mastodon mobile app mentions, and made a list sorted by frequency. I put the top four most mentioned mobile apps into this poll.

Honorary mentions to #Moshidon, #Ivory, #Trunks, #Toot, and #Tusker.

What mobile app do you use to access Mastodon the most?

Feel free to boost for a larger sample.

@rperezrosario I jump between Moshidon and Fedilab.
@rperezrosario Specifically: @phanpy  -- @cheeaun has done an absolutely amazing job creating an app that is very configurable, and has amazing features that should be standard (like the Catch-Up feature).
@rperezrosario Those are the 4 most mentioned Apps? Wow!
For me it’s #MonaApp
Before that it was #Toot!
I’ve tried #Ivory too but it didn’t fit for me
@nSonic Mona, Toot and Ivory were mentioned. Just not as often.

@rperezrosario I was surprised too that these were the 4 mentioned and thought I would try Tusky. But these are android apps listed, not for iOS

Except for the official app

For me I mostly use #tapestryapp and bounce into #ivory for posting

@rperezrosario #Tusker, I tried the official Mastodon app, but the refresh/scroll option in #Tusker swayed it for me
@rperezrosario @mayintoronto @moshidon is great for users of lists. (And, I'm looking forward to the promised update that shows Quote Toots well).

@deborahh @mayintoronto

Quotes is a pretty cool feature. Hope the feature gets added to Moshidon soon.

@rperezrosario @mayintoronto could not answer this poll: I don't know what a PWA is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is @moshidon a "PWA"?

#tooGeeky !

@deborahh @mayintoronto @moshidon

Hi. PWAs are a way to distribute web applications. They usually consist of a web browser pointing directly to the web application, packaged as a stand-alone app with its own icon that can be placed in a mobile phone's home screen, or desktop os's desktop/start menu. It saves users from having to open a browser and browse to the application instead. There are other technical details but that is it, in a nutshell.

@deborahh @mayintoronto @moshidon

I haven't tried Moshidon but I don't think it's a PWA.

@rperezrosario Ivory, and nothing else :)
@rperezrosario *smashing @IceCubesApp together noises*
@rperezrosario do the comments reveal a bias? Eg: people mention mobile apps primarily when /complaining/ about them?

@ellie

All comments were positive, and anecdotal (self-reported current users of a mentioned mobile app.)

@rperezrosario Tusky is on my mobile phone, but it is rare for me to use it that way.

Far more common is I run WiFi hotspot to my tablet which is a proper Linux machine (Debian 13) with a fully-fledged web browser.
