If the government does not want to pay damages, just label it an "emergency".

Farmers Ins. Exchange v. State of California (1985) 175 Cal.App.3d 494, 221 Cal.Rptr. 225 (Third Appellate District).

Damages arising from the exercise of the State's police power are non-compensable: spraying to abate a public nuisance (the Medfly), and damage to private property resulting from such action did not give rise to liability.

@Sfwmson “You won’t ever need to vote again”, the orange guy said. As his fellows rule both of your Chambers, I don’t believe there will be elections anymore, neither in November or in 2028. Not as long as he and his almost designated successor JDV will be alive: they won’t permit anything nor anyone to defeat them and oust them of power.

And if, by an incredible chance, such a day would come anyway, I would want to see that with my own eyes before I can believe that the current revenge of the Nazis came to its end. I don’t bet a cent on it, though.
