On #ThisDayInHistory in 1941 a #GeneralStrike was called by the #CommunistParty of the #Netherlands in response to the seizure of 425 #Jewish boys & men by the #Nazis. For two days, major cities shut down, but repression was harsh — nine were killed, 50 wounded, & 200+ arrested.
