This is pretty broad but thank you every open source developer who makes my computer awesome
@cwebber Deserving of the biggest boost ever!
@cwebber thank-you right back at you! Thank you so much for your (frankly epic) contributions to open source!
@cwebber Aa both a contributor to open source and a long time user of it, thank you! The world is a better place because of open source software.
@cwebber Kind of thing that sometimes makes me wonder how far have the various amount of patches I've sent have went.

And reminds me that I've even sent two reports to guix, without even having used it (was binary blobs I detected on gentoo and that guix didn't remove/workaround either).

@cwebber Put your Money where your Mouth is!

@lemgandi @cwebber donating to the FSF doesn't wildly help most of open source, not least because they don't even like open source, but it does keep funding someone who rather seems to be a creep sooooo

@zbrown @cwebber

Shrug. OK, send your money to the Debian folks ( https://www.debian.org/donations ), as I do every time I install or update one of my machines. Or heck, donate to EFF ( https://eff.org ).

@lemgandi @cwebber have you taken a look at her bio or website? Just sayin'.

@cwebber

and another glass raised for the #FOSS translators, doc writers, packagers, security researchers, package archive hosts, graphic artists, sysadmins, consultants, sponsors, contributors and everyone else who freely gives of themselves to ensure EVERYONE can participate in the digital domain! 🍻

It's worth another round to raise a toast to the COMMUNITY of these unseen warriors who keep #Fediverse humming as EXEMPLIFIED over the past 48 hours as @chad et al at #mstdnca were supported and aided by colleagues over Discord to resolve a sudden, weird, and extreme latency issue! 🍻

This sort of community collaboration rarely happens in the LinkedIn NDA world. In #FOSS, an intractable bug is very often a path to new friends 😊

@cwebber I'm even cool with developers who sell perpetual licenses and don't play subscription model games, or just care about stock value and investment (the promise of future profits when they have a monopoly or clients that are hopelessly locked in).
@cwebber thank you, too. I'm just OCD and like writing PUSH.

@cwebber
Europem Commission is waiting until February 3rd for the feedback about open-source for ts European Open Digital Ecosystem Strategy. Everyone is welcome to leave a comment or two. Make them hear us!

@cwebber ... and my phone bearable!
@cwebber pretty awesome 🤣💀
@cwebber
And thank all straight-arm programmers, whose developing for real working open-source things
My main chagrin - it open-source products, which don't working good or STUPID DON'T SUPPORT PREVIOUS VERSIONS 🔪🔪🔪 (Linux, unfortunately, also suffers from this)

@cwebber

Also thanks to all those who write good documentation.

(Checks the profile) And that also includes you! Thanks!

@cwebber I see what you did there! So egoistic 😀 . You know you would be among the biggest recipients of thanks If that got boosted. I feel tricked.

*boost*

@cwebber and thank you for your kind thoughts. Saying things like that gets any problems you might have bumped up the bug-fix priority list 😉

@cwebber

Including bug reporters, documentation writers, people who help people install and configure things and solve problems and test performance on forums, people who host mirrors, run tor relays... All y'all computer socialists.
