To my #repair bubble: Where can I get adjustment screwdrivers (slit and phillips) made from PLASTIC? Non-magnetic, non-conducting ones. For adjusting trimmers in CRTs, adjusting tape heads and the like?

@root42 I have a ceramic one that came with stepper drivers to adjust the voltage. Not sure though where you would get it separately. Maybe worth searching for that.

@root42 Suchbegriff „Abgleichwerkzeug“ z.B. bei Ebay. Die billigen aus Plastik taugen leider nicht so viel (hab mir selbst vor einiger Zeit ein billigst-Set geholt und die nutzen leider nach wenigen Benutzungen ab.) Keramik ist vermutlich besser.

@root42 Bernstein ist die Marke, die die Pros benutzen. Leider recht teuer, aber wohl auch für die Ewigkeit gebaut. Gibt die auch aus Plastik.

@root42 I used to make flat plastic adjustment tools from thick plastic knitting needles shaped on the bench grinder. Plastic/wooden chopsticks and a file/sharp knife would surely work also.

@root42 A search on “trimpot adjustment tool plastic” (or ceramic) shows a good set of results in google. (I imagine ceramic will have a much longer lifespan).
