@anolandria im not baffled. Some of us here in the USofA don’t believe in any of this red white n blue hype bullshit over here, and pretty much ridicule it altogether. I didn’t choose to be born in this trashy excuse of a country. I would’ve picked Costa Rica if I had a choice.

Yes it's sad to see that the whole "we need guns to make sure the government doesn't take our freedom" argument relies both on the "people" wanting everyone's freedom protected not just theirs, AND that they are clever enough to actually realise their freedom is being taken.

A: I agree USA media is censored & heavily manipulated.

B (my point): the OG TikTok fuss was the surveillance baked into it. Spying, not censoring, was when banning and a forced sale began being called for.

C: hackers (esp cypherpunks) called out the giant irony (only us apps can surveil us like that).
