Neal WebbDotnet devs that have abandoned Windows, where did you land? I’ve been using Pop OS on my personal devices for a few years. The 22.04 release worked, but definitively felt heavy at times. The new 24.04 release is snappier, but I’ll be damned if I can’t get dotnet installed on it. With 2 under 2, I don’t have a lot of time to troubleshoot. I’d like to avoid picking up a used mac, but I won’t rule it out. #dotnet #linux #popos
netSonic@nealwebb I’m developing with dotnet Maui for iOS and Android. I’m using MacBooks - currently two (three with the backup one) MacBook Air (and some rather old Xamarin code for fixing on an old MacBook Pro - but currently unused because no chance to fix that old ones because iOS needs newer Xcode to upload - and meanwhile everything is migrated to Maui )
It works great and I have iOS simulator and Android emulator running fast on those machines.
