Neal WebbDotnet devs that have abandoned Windows, where did you land? I’ve been using Pop OS on my personal devices for a few years. The 22.04 release worked, but definitively felt heavy at times. The new 24.04 release is snappier, but I’ll be damned if I can’t get dotnet installed on it. With 2 under 2, I don’t have a lot of time to troubleshoot. I’d like to avoid picking up a used mac, but I won’t rule it out. #dotnet #linux #popos
Marnix van Valen@nealwebb I'm on Mint. I'll admit it wasn't a completely smooth experience for #dotnet development, mostly because I want the latest versions asap. But, using the script install works well. Rider and VS Code are exactly the same as on Windows. Mint is easy to install and keep updated, ux feels familiar too.
